BENT Image Lab Seeks 3D/Technical Director
Posted 4/14/09BENT Image Lab is currently accepting applications for 3D Artist\ Technical Director - Freelance.
Job Description:
Bent Image Lab is looking for an experienced 3D technical director for animated commercial TV spots. This person should be talented in two of the following areas; modeling and texturing, lighting and rendering, particles and effects. In depth knowledge of 3dsmax is a must. Experience with vray, zbrush, boujou, cinema 4d and other 3ds max plugins is a plus. Industry experience required.
BENT IMAGE LAB is a hybrid animation laboratory and live action production studio where award-winning filmmakers, artists, storytellers, animators, and designers come together to create projects for a diverse clientele. The studio stretches the boundaries of concept and design. It is a laboratory where exploration and play go hand in hand. We are located in Portland, Oregon.
This is a freelance contract position.
Salary is commensurate with experience.

Teaching Opportunities: Movie Camp
Posted 3/9/09Cine Rent West, one of the largest sound stages in Portland willl be conducting a summer camp for high school aged students that focuses on industry skills. We're currently looking to add some professionals to our growing staff. These are paid gigs for people that specialize in different aspects of production to teach at least one class workshop (about 4 hours). We have four different camp sessions: screenwriting, acting, filmmaking, and music video creation. We're also looking for people to help with a set design workshop in both the filmmaking and music video workshops. FYI: All prospective employees will have to submit to a professional background check.

There is a breakdown of how the sessions will overlap and what topics we want to discuss, and what we really want the kids to come away with learning. Campers will be working hands on to put a short video together from start to finish. We have some good equipment at our disposal. All in all it should be a great time and everyone will come away with a great experience.
